The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit group that promotes general aviation and safety. You can learn more about the EAA (including the latest Form 990) at http://www.eaa.org/. The Instrument Meterological Conditions (IMC) Club is one of the activities sponsored by the EAA. It is focused on flight by reference to instruments, pilot training, and risk management. Our Nashua chapter holds monthly meetings where we conduct what's known as "hangar flying:" we start with a scenario, discuss the problems or errors that led up to the situation, the challenges and decisions to be made, and the possible outcomes. All with an interest in instrument flight are welcome. Membership in the EAA is not required. Our regular meetings (previously held at Daniel Webster College) are attended by student pilots, airline pilots, airport managers, and Air Traffic Control personnel, so a broad range of experience is available in each meeting. Attending our meetings also provides FAA WINGS proficiency credit: this is an FAA program that recognizes pilots who work to continue their education. For more information about WINGS, see https://www.faasafety.gov/.
